Vail Family Vacation

We went to Vail Colorado July 23rd~ 26th as our family vacation. It was so beautiful up there. We went at a good time there was so much to do and allot of it was free. Here are some Pictures sorry that posting has been very behind.

This bridge reminded me of Sleepy Hollow. I was just waiting to have the headless horseman meet us at the other end.

Analicia had her first horse ride and she loved it.

Eleazar Jr was with his sister to. He was much more interested in his baby sisters reaction then to enjoy his own ride.

Eleazar got to ride the mechanical bull for free before we went up on the gondola. He only made it to level 2.
My rock climbing monkey went up and down three times.

Analicia in the Pool. I'm sure that no one will be shocked to know that Analicia and Eleazar Jr didn't ever want to get out of the pool.

Analicia and her daddy on the gondola coming back down the mountain.

Eleazar loved the model T Ford.

We did some bike riding all around Vail which is filled with beautiful bike trails. Analicia thought that it was the coolest thing to ride in the back.

Eleazar Jr. did the trampoline bungee cord jumping.

Eleazar Jr's First Holy Communion

On May 17th Eleazar Jr made his First Holy Communion. We are so proud of him. This is the picture of his class that made First Holy Communion with him. Eleazar refused to have a suit like the other. He said "Mom its bad enough that I have to wear a tie. Unless daddy wears an suit either am I." I thought that maybe he would feel bad afterward because he was the only one but nope he didn't he was just happy.
After the mass we posed for a picture at the front of the church.

We are grateful my cousin Jon and his wife Lynette and three kids came to the mass but had to go to their church so they didn't come to the party afterwards.

Eleazar got home and the first thing he did was take off the clothes and got in shorts and a shirt. This his him playing in the Bounce thingy that we had for the kids. His cousin Lino is in there with him.

Analicia and her cousin Sarahi played with the bubbles

My garage was transformed with tables and decorations for the event. This is where everyone sat and ate. Thanks to my mother and sister-in-law for helping me prepare all the food and get things set up as we were in church.

Time goes by fast!!!!!

Wow I cannot believe the time that has passed. I have been bad at keeping up on my blog so here is a re-cap of everything that I'm trying to cram in to one entry, so here it goes.

Analicia is doing better. She will be 2 years old the 26th of this month. I cannot believe it. There is a sadness that comes with her turning another year older. I guess when you know for sure that this is your last child you wish that you had more time to enjoy the times that made you smile. It is amazing at how much she has changed in looks. She is still her same DIVA little self that has her daddy wrapped around her little finger's. I have learned that you cannot clean out her closet with her around because the minute she sees you put her dresses and shoes in a bag, she throws a huge fit. Then her protective big brother comes to the rescue and says "Mommy just leave her clothes and shoes alone. Why do you have to give them away? They were hers first!" Try explaining to the two of them that we need the space and it stuff that Analicia has already grown out of. So needless to say neither one of them should be there.

Eleazar Jr. is doing good in school and even better at baseball. He is on a baseball team and loves every minute of it. He is there Tuesday's, Thursday's and Saturday's. To him that is not enough. Wednesday's he has his "Church school classes" as he like to call them. Also Eleazar Jr will be making his first holy communion on the 17th of this month. He is so excited because he has been waiting for this all year long. He is having a party afterwards at the house. Of course that means I have been running around getting stuff ready and taking him to practice at the church.

Eleazar and I are pretty much the average parents. Running to practice for baseball and first holy communions, making dinner, doing laundry, cleaning the house, working on the yard, cleaning out the garage, and odds and ends like that. I will try to do better at blogging.

Road to Recovery

All went well with the surgery with Analicia. We were quarantined as soon as we arrived to Primary Childrens Hospital due to the MRSA. We were there at 11:00am and they kept moving the surgery back. They finally came to get her at 2:45pm. That was torture for her because she had to sit and not eat or drink anything for all that time. They gave her some bubbles to play with that she tried to eat several times through out the day. They removed her adenoids and looked into the sinuses and took care of her ears. The great news is there was no infection in the bone.

Once Analicia came out and we went back all hell broke loose. She was screaming and crying. She didn't open her eyes at all during all of this either so it was strange. She tore off her gown, tore the blood pressure cuff and everything else they had wired to her body. Next she was trying to take out her IV. It took the nurse, Eleazar and I to hold her down. The nurse told us that this is common in children that have a hard time coming to after the anesthesia.

We got home and noticed that Analicia had huge welts from the surgical tape that they put over her eyes and around the her mouth to hold the breathing tube. It was perfect little squares that you could clearly see the shapes of the tape. We gave her some lortab and she went and laid down. Dr. Hill called me that night and stated that all is well and that he hopes that this helps. He wants to follow up with her in 2 weeks and not the 4 weeks they told us at the hospital. He wants her to have a hearing test that day to.

The surgery moved up

I just got a call form Dr. Hill and he has moved up Analicia's surgery to tomorrow morning. Analicia is having post nasal drip and he wants to get in there before it turns to pneumonia.

MRSA

For all of you that don't know, Analicia has MRSA. The definition that I found for those that don't know is: MRSA is a type of Staphylococcus aureus resistant to certain antibiotics including methicillin and the more common antibiotics such as oxacillin, penicillin, and amoxicillin. MRSA incidence is on the rise in the US and it has now become recognized as a major community-acquired pathogen. Analicia's pediatrician Dr. Duffy sent a culture of the pus that was coming out of her ear. The culture showed that it was MRSA and that it was resistant to all antibiotics except Septra. That following week Analicia has a sever allergic reaction to the antibiotic. Dr. Duffy then sent her to a ENT (Ears Nose and Throat Doctor) Dr. Hill.

Dr. Hill called me and was concerned that Analicia may have it in her inner ear. Analicia's equilibrium is totally off and she walks like she has had been drinking all day. She has also been running into things. Analicia goes in for surgery this Wednesday March 11th at Primary Childrens Hospital. Dr Hill stated that he is going to go in and clean out the ears and re-do her tubes, removal of the adenoids and possibly tonsils, and exploratory surgery of the ears and sinus's. He's concerned that she may have an infected bone or a pulp some where that is causing all of this. Analicia will more then likely be kept due to the extent of the surgery in the hospital. Stay tuned for more details.

Boys VS. Girls

I'm sorry that I'm slacking on blogging. I don't have much to report. Eleazar Jr is doing good no problems so far at school (knock on wood). Analicia on the other hand is a DIVA. I swear sometimes I have no idea what to do with her. Eleazar Jr is and always was more go with the flow. Analicia likes to scream at you to get your attention, she will kick and scream till she gets her way and she loves shoes. I have no idea where she gets her shoe fetish from... She love to be dressed up, her hair done up with bows and everyone to gloat over her. I swear its so much easier for me to raise a boy. Poor Analicia has more of a tom boy for a mother then a girly girl. I swear that I'm the only female that is missing the chromosome in my DNA because I HATE to shop unless I know what I want or need. I don't have a shoe fetish. Don't get me wrong I love getting my nails done, a pedicure, doing my make-up, and wearing nice clothes. I just don't have to shop till I drop, have a different shoe for every outfit that I own or have name brand clothes to feel better. Now don't get me wrong I don't think that is bad. It's just not me. So for me to have a 21 month old daughter that is so different from me and more like my little sister seems to amaze me. That is all.

Happy New Years

Happy New Years to all... I hope that everyone had a nice and cozy holiday like we did. I was off of work for 5 day's. It was great. We spent the holidays mostly at home and we were with family. New Years Eve we were home at 9:00pm and feel asleep at 10:00pm to wake up at 12:01am to huge loud bright fire works. They lit up they sky like it was the 4Th of July. I had Eleazar's cousin Elly come over and she taught us to make tamales. Wow it is a very long process, it took all day. We made chicken and sweet tamales. Now its back off to work I go.
