Christmas Day

Christmas was great for us. We started off with opening presents at our house. Santa left allot of presents for the kids. Analicia has no idea what to make of her brother just tearing the wrapping paper off and throwing it around and then tearing in to the boxes as if he was a hungry bear eating his prey. Analicia would start to tear he paper off and then she ran to the garbage and came back and tore off some more and was back at the garbage can. As you can imagine this didn't last because Eleazar Jr. was done with all of his and he wanted to help his sister and see what Santa brought her. Analicia now has a little Disney princess table with two chairs. She cried when we took her away from the table to go to grandpa and grandma Torres's house (My dad and Stepmother) for breakfast and more presents.

At 9:00am we got to my dads house with all of us in our warm PJ's that we opened the night before. Eleazar and I had to have some strong hot coffee and we sat and talked till my sister Nikki and her boyfriend Kyle came over. As soon as they got there they we ate quiche with dad's homemade salsa and toast. Then we opened more presents and Nikki insisted that we play her scene-it friends. Jr. actually played while I gave him enough answers to try to keep afloat to his aunt Nikki that knows it all when it comes to friends. She even won the game go figure.

We then went home and got ready and then went to Grandma Irene's and Ken's house (My dad's mother and step father) for lunch at 1:30pm. We sat and visited with the family. Grandma you put on a good spread as always and thank you Aunt Phyllis for helping her. Then we hurried off to Eleazar's aunt's house and they were trying to feed us tamales. I didn't eat for two reasons one because I was so stuffed and the second was they were pork tamales. We stayed as visited for an hour or so and was on our way to our last stop.

At 5:00pm we arrived to Grandma and Grandpa Smith's (My mother's Mom and dad) house for yep you guessed it to eat again... We just picked and didn't really eat. My cousin Stephanie who is on her mission was able to call. We all got to quickly talk to her. She's coming home in April. Then I got this hair brain idea to get the great grandkid's together for a picture. If you got a good one of half and the other half were looking down or just walked out of the picture. Then we opened presents and hurried home because the snow was coming in hard. It took us 45 minutes when it normally takes 15 minutes to get home and we had car's slipping and sliding all over in front of us. Then we got back into the PJ's and watched the movies that we got for Christmas. Thanks to all of our friends and family for the greatest gift of all. Just being YOU!

WOW It Looks Like Christmas Weather!!!!

This weekend was great!!! Its starting to look like it's December. Saturday we woke up to snow... Analicia woke up and sat in her highchair and sat for 40 minutes staring at the snow falling as she ate her breakfast very slowly. She was so amazed by the white stuff hitting our glass sliding door in the kitchen she was so quiet that we forgot she was still in there. I have to laugh because if you know Analicia she will make sure that she is the center of your attention. I went to refill my coffee cup when I realized it all. Later that day we had Eleazar's Alder Construction Christmas Party at the Little America for the Managers, Administrative, Superintends and Supervisors. They had a filet Mignon, with fish, green beans roasted, red potatoes, salad, and dessert. Even better they had a free open bar. I don't drink very often but I always do at the Alder Christmas party. I have my grandma Irene's taste in drinks, so if you know her you know that I had a few rum and coke's. They had every one pick numbers and we started off at 1 and went to 50. You either pick a present and opened it in front of everyone or you could take it form the ones that went before. It was so nice to be around everyone having a great time.

Sunday we made enchiladas and rice. Also we cleaned house and did laundry. Then we went to the store and Analicia had to have a little purple hair brush that she combed her hair the whole time we were in the store. We had been told by several other shoppers that she was such a cutie and she had a beautiful smile. Of course you guessed it she knew that she was being praised so she smiled bigger, tilted her head and batted those big brown eyes. She had them into putty. My little June Bug (Eleazar Jr) was a great help to his daddy and I while we were cooking and cleaning. I have to admit that he is such a good boy when he wants to be, like most kids. He is still walking on eggshells with us because he was caught stealing at school and received In School Suspension (ISS). WOW!!! ISS at 7 years old. I know that we are given back what we give our parents but something tells me I need to hold on because I haven't even seen the worst of it yet I have a feeling that Analicia will be the one that is going to give us a run for our money.

New Traditions

Welcome Friends and family to the blog. The Holiday's are coming and the stress is officially on. The economy has been in a recession for a year now. So on top of hearing that its going to get worse before it gets better, we are trying to make the Christmas cut backs.I admit this makes me feel bad but you have to do what you have to do. I feel the pinch at home and I feel it at work. One thing is for sure I'm grateful for the fact the Eleazar and I are still working.

There is a new Christmas tradition going on in our Familia. Eleazar Jr and Analicia picked angels off of the Angel Christmas tree. They chose an 8 year old boy and 10 month old boy. The card said that they needed clothes. So the money that Eleazar and I would have spent on the kids buying them gifts we bought for the kids that they picked. Now some of you maybe thinking that is rude of me but look at it this way. What kind of parents would we be if we didn't teach out kids the real meaning of Christmas. Beside they are still getting their gifts form Santa Clause. Also my kids have so many grandparents they will be taken care of. My kids are very fortunate to have a big family. It's kind of sad there is no Christmas presents under the tree this year but I'm sure that there will be plenty on Christmas morning from Santa....
This is the official page of the Ramirez Familia. We consist Michelle (mom), Eleazar (father), Eleazar Jr (our oldest son) and Analicia (our daughter). I'm hoping that this will help us keep in touch with family and friends. Now BEWARE I have no idea what I'm doing right now but I'm sure I will get the hang of this in time.
